About this pair
Read the full descriptionHide the full description
The Commuter is built for people who spend the day moving, sitting and riding. If you want American-made men's stretch jeans that hold their shape through a commute, this is the fit to start with.
The back rise is extended for better coverage while sitting. The leg is slim below the knee, and the seat is double reinforced. The denim comes from Cone Mills in Parras, Mexico: a sustainable tri-blend with a ringspun Amsler cotton warp, verified humanely sourced cotton, recycled polyester, distilled indigo dye and recycled water. It is rinse washed for a soft hand and a rich indigo color. Details include a Horween leather patch and a YKK zipper.
Care: Machine wash cold, inside out, and hang dry to hold the color and the stretch. Wash less often than you think you need to.
Sizing: Order your usual waist. The 2% elastane gives with wear, so if you are between sizes, take the smaller waist. We hem to your length for free before the jeans ship, so give us the inseam you actually wear.

Questions
Good to know
Where are these jeans made?
They are cut and sewn in our family-owned factory in Chicago. We sell them direct from that factory.
What is the denim made of?
It is a 10oz tri-blend stretch denim, 85% cotton, 13% recycled polyester and 2% elastane, so it does stretch. The fabric comes from Cone Mills in Parras, Mexico, with a ringspun Amsler cotton warp, verified humanely sourced cotton, distilled indigo dye and recycled water. It is rinse washed for a soft hand and a rich indigo color.
How does the Commuter fit and what size should I order?
Order your usual waist. The back rise is extended for better coverage while sitting and the leg is slim below the knee. The 2% elastane gives with wear, so if you are between sizes, take the smaller waist.
Do you hem them for me?
Yes, we hem to your length for free before the jeans ship. Give us the inseam you actually wear when you order.
How should I wash them?
Machine wash cold, inside out, and hang dry to hold the color and the stretch. Wash them less often than you think you need to.
What is your return policy?

This is my second pair of Commuters and they are my go-to jeans. I bike almost every day because I don't own a car, so having jeans that can withstand the wear (and that are comfortable) is very important to me. These work great! And they fit incredibly well too. I like how the leg opening is slim enough that the hem doesn't get caught on the bike chain.

My previous pair have lasted years without blowing out in the crotch or really showing much wear to the denim at all, and only recently the thin pockets developed holes that pushed me to buy a new pair. And what do you know? The new pair has pocket material that's much more robust.
Between the two pair my only real complaint was the dodgy pockets on the first one as well as one missing belt loop (also on the first pair). Quality seems to be improving overall and I'm really impressed.

I absolutely love these jeans, the Commuter is my go to with the reinforced seat. The style is unique but doesn’t stick out and the extra durability has been perfect for bike riding or just moving throughout the day. Please keep this style going because it’s they are the best!

These are great. Smart and tailored but still versatile. Bought them for my husband who bike commutes wears jeans 5 days per week. He said they help with the "aero" if that means anything to y'all.

After 40 or 50 years Dearborn Denim Commuters replaced Levi's
501s as my go to jeans. I don't use them for bike commuting but the extra layer in the seat and inner thigh means they wear twice as long.
